Intrasys Municipal Consulting Service professionals can perform all the steps in the IT management process, from assessment of the current environment to implementation of new technologies. Typically, even for short tem assignments, Intrasys begins by performing a high-level analysis to gain an understanding of the critical enterprise business and technology issues and milestones impacting the customers current IT vision. Recent significant accomplishments include,

Municipal Information Systems
Intrasys provided a complete outsourced service with overall responsibility for Information Technology and Telecommunications implementation services. Intrasys managed projects from development, and installation through to post live support and maintenance for a Tier 1 Municipal enterprise. Comprising, over 1000 users, 1000 + devices, a fully integrated Financial Information System (administrative, departmental and financial applications), all linked through a high speed Wide Area Network (WAN) and VPN to over 60 remote users.

Strategic Planning
Intrasys facilitated and led a Information Technology strategic planning project for a mid sized municipality, outlining an overview of its current Information Technologies and potential future IT needs for the upcoming two to three years. Short-term actions and long-term implications were indicated. Intrasys delivered in collaboration with the key stakeholders an implementation "roadmap" that will lay out some of the key milestones for this time period. Specifically this overview will assist the municipality in the development and integration of new technologies (for example, Geographic Information System (GIS) -based applications).

Financial Information System (FIS)
Intrasys was asked to identify and provide necessary support services (including a review of all departmental processes) and assist the client in implementing a new suite of FIS applications while current, "in house" staff continued to support existing legacy systems.

Core deliverables included:
Development of a corporate culture and it's relationship with information technology/information management including partnerships with all key-stakeholders
Electronic delivery and exchange of information (both internally and externally)
Downtime, Disaster and Business continuance provisions
Manual and electronic data and file storage
Improved financial reporting (including budgeting) methodologies and access to departmental information (Financial period cut-offs, interdepartmental transaction processing customer access to alternative payment methods, frequency and procedure of billing processes and application and handling of service charges on customer accounts ).
Improved Cash Receipting, collection methodologies and segregation of duties.
Information Technology Outsourcing -A Municipal Township engaged Intrasy to provide a turnkey I.T outsourced solution for all of its knowledge management and technical support, utilizing an economical “ pooled hours” service contract. Through this arrangement Intrasys is able to deliver continuity of services, I.T strategic planning and vision and future system integration, scalability and durability at an extremely economic rate to our client. The presence of our experienced staff on site helped facilitate the “release” of valuable ”in house” staff resources, to focus on the priority issues of the day, rather than the headaches and pressures of Information Technology project management and technical support.
